Booking terms
These cover your use of the booking service when you enter an event. They are between you and the platform, and are separate from the event organiser's own terms and cancellation policy, which are shown to you before you pay.
Booking terms
These terms cover your use of this booking service. They are between you and the platform that operates it. They are not the terms of the event itself: your entry to the event is an agreement between you and the event organiser, and the organiser's own terms and cancellation policy apply to that. Where the organiser has provided those documents, they are shown alongside these terms for you to read before you pay.
1. What the platform does
The platform provides the booking and payment service that lets you enter an event run by an independent organiser. The platform is a facilitator. It does not run the event, set its rules, or decide whether it goes ahead. Responsibility for the event, including its safety, organisation, changes, and any cancellation, rests with the organiser.
2. Your booking
Your place is confirmed once payment has been taken. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide. Your place is personal to the entrant named and is not transferable unless the organiser allows it.
3. Fees
The price shown at checkout is the amount you pay. It includes the organiser's entry price and a booking fee charged for use of the booking and payment service. The booking fee is shown before you pay and is not refundable, as it covers the cost of taking the booking.
4. Payments and refunds
Payments are processed through a third party payment provider. Any refund of the entry fee is decided and issued by the organiser in line with the organiser's cancellation policy; the platform processes refunds on the organiser's instruction. Refunds are returned to the card used for payment and can take several working days to appear. The booking fee is not included in refunds.
5. Your data
The details you provide are used to process your booking and are shared with the organiser so they can administer your entry. They are handled in line with applicable data protection law. For more on how the platform handles data, see the platform privacy notice.
Some entries collect an emergency contact and, optionally, medical information (for example conditions, allergies or medication) so that the organiser and their first-aid or medical team can keep you safe on the event day. This information is provided by you (or, for a group entry, confirmed by you on your own entry) and is shared only with the organiser of the event you enter. It is stored encrypted and is not shown publicly. Medical information is optional: you can instead confirm that you have no conditions to declare. You can update or remove it from your entry or your profile at any time.
6. The platform's responsibility
The platform is responsible for providing the booking service with reasonable care and skill. It is not responsible for the event itself, for the organiser's acts or omissions, or for any loss arising from the event, except to the extent such liability cannot be excluded by law. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
7. General
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continue to apply. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
